The Tel Aviv Gillette Marathon, March 15th, 2013
The Tel Aviv Gillette Marathon is Israel’s largest and most prestigious annual sporting event, taking place this spring in one of the most exciting cities in the world. 30,000 runners are expected to participate in the race on March 15th 2013.
The marathon is a multi course event enabling runners of various levels and styles to participate. In 2013, the following courses will be offered:
Marathon, Half Marathon, 10km, 10% Race of 4.2km, 420 meter race for children, inline skating, and Hand cycle Race for people with special needs.
Running along Tel Aviv's breathtaking seashore and internationally styled architecture which titled it as a UNESCO world heritage site, promises a one-of-a-kind experience.
The Tel Aviv Gillette Marathon is not only a race but also a citywide festival of sporting events, healthy lifestyle, good music and festivities.
The Tel Aviv Gillette Marathon Expo taking place March 10th-13th in Rabin Square will kick off the marathon events. In addition to race kit distribution, a variety of booths, sporting activities, as well as the pre-race pasta party will take place in the complex.
The festivities peak the day of the race at Charles Clore Park, where the start and finish line mark a celebration of 100,000 people. DJ’s, performances, food, activities, and a VIP area are available for runners, family, friends, residents and guests of Tel Aviv-Yafo.
