This year Ramat Hagolan decided to add Braille labeling on the back of all Mount Hermon red bottles, making them the first winery to cater to the needs of the blind community. KUDOS!!!

Ramat Hagolan’s Mount Hermon Red is sold as the winery’s table wine. It is safe to say that this blend is the most famous wine in Israel, and can be found in most local supermarkets and wine stores. The wine is produced using five red grape varieties: Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Malbec and Petit Verdot.

Tasting notes:

Garnet in color this red is showing aromas of black fruits and cherries. On the pallet the wine may seem a bit watery at first taste but then assumes a medium body.

Food pairing:

The winery recommends serving the wine alongside roasted meats or hard cheeses at a relatively low temperature of 13-16 degrees Celsius.


Tip of the week: "Removing red wine stains"

Use high acid items such as lemon juice or white wine vinegar. Mix these with water and apply to the stain.
