Passador
Passador Linor Dagan
Eilat, it's my second visit this month, 10th in the past 5 years. Is there anything I don't already know about you, city of sun and hotels with buffets? I've decided not to give up and looked for a new restaurant. That's when I found Passador.

True meat lovers will be happy to find accessorized kitchen where steaks are being dry aged, and a menu offering unique dishes such as prime rib entrecote, butcher's cut skewers and lamb chops. True wine lovers will find a nice selection brought from local and global wineries, as well as intelligent waiters.

Owner Avi, who has been living in Eilat for the past 30 years, researched the market and brought knowledge and professionalism to this restaurant. Indeed, Passador's design is luxurious yet warm, the restaurant's 2 rooms are great event venue, and the rich menu includes no less than 20 main courses and 15 appetizers. It should also be said that although the restaurant is open for business on Saturdays, it does keep Kosher.

Business meals are served during lunchtime, dinnertime and weekends. For NIS 59 you can have 4 appetizers, house bread with 2 spreads, eggplant in red Tehina and chickpeas, a dish I probably had many times before, still I was surprised. Passador's business meal also includes a green salad that proved to be professional.

The roasted, marinated wings turned out to be a generous dish. We also ordered the butcher's cut skewers, the meat was well done. The mashed potatoes and the garlic appetizer, cooked with beet, were just great. The bar fish on a bed of pasta (stir-fried in pesto) that we ordered by the waitress recommendation, was good: the fish was lightly spiced and the pasta - surprisingly fresh.

We had a dessert of coconut Meringue in a sauce of berries – kosher, refreshing and light, a great closure to this meal.

Professional, precise service, good wine and great meal. Thank you, Passador.
