The Big Stage at Suzanne Dellal


The 20th Anniversary of the Suzanne Dellal Center are part of Tel Aviv’s 100 Anniversary Celebrations!

A festival of Israeli and international dance and singing and rock performances will open Suzanne Dellal Center’s 20 year anniversary celebrations on the Big Stage, located in the central square between the Suzanne Dellal Hall and Yaron Yerushalmi hall. The Center is situated in the heart of Neve Tzedek neighborhood, Tel Aviv’s first neighborhood, and the events are part of the 100-year anniversary celebrations for the first Hebrew city: Tel Aviv – Jaffa.

The series of performances will be opened by the Balkan Beat Box band, integrated with dance pieces with 10 dancers from the Suzanne Dellal center’s production of Monger, by choreographer Barak Marshal. The Bat Sheva Dance Company and ensemble will perform in an inspiring dance celebration, composed of segments from the company’s creation over the past 20 year, by the choreographer Ohad Naharin. The company’s performance will host a young creator.

The Inbal Pinto and Avshalom Pollack Company will perform the premiere of Rushes, as well as dance pieces from the company’s repertoire. Vertigo Company will perform White Noise, and Tararam Company will give a premiere performance of rhythm and movement – Isra-Beat. The Kibbutz Dance Company will perform its flagship creation – Past Continuous by Rami Be’er, and will host a young guest creator. Ido Tadmor and his company return to the stage with masterpieces beloved by the audience: Sima’s Pot and Cell. Ido will host dancers Rina Sheinfeld and Talia Paz in two work premiere duets.

Arriving from Spain will be the National Dance Company of Spain, directed by Nacho Duato, in a performance composed of the company’s famous masterpieces, based on the choreography of Nacho Duato. Arriving from Canada for the first time in Israel, the Grands Ballets Canadiens de Montreal will perform two masterpieces from the company’s repertoire, by Mauro Bigonzetti and Stijn Celis.

In addition, there will be a special performance by the Orna Porat Theater for Children and Youth, of the play Mr. Zuta and the Apple Tree. Israeli song and rock starts Rita, Mosh Ben Ari, Chava Alberstein, Eidan Reichel, Ehud Banai and the Apples will all participate in unique performances on the Big Stage.
